Top Design Trends in Hardware

You can’t make a full interior transformation without also updating your hardware. Handles, faucets, drawer pulls, etc., need to be switched out to fit the style and colors of the interior space around it. If you don’t make these changes, you will end up with a finished product that does not meet your expectations; the devil is in the details!

Cabinets/Drawers

In 2021 there have been a variety of trends with cabinet and drawer hardware/pulls.

-Cylinder and Square Bar Pulls: Bar pulls have easily been one of the most popular styles of knobs for their sleek look. Cylinder styles are most popular with the colors silver and black. The square bar pulls best-sellers are showing to be matte black.

-Simple Knobs: These are other popular knobs that are different from bar pulls. They tend to be simple silver or black button-style shapes.

-Farmhouse Style: A warm, wooden style has been popular in many people's homes. This trend includes more rustic-themed hardware, or even adding rustic pieces with a modern twist.

-No Hardware/Pulls: Having no handles or pulls on cabinetry and dressers makes them appear simple and minimalistic, as there is no hardware sticking out.

-Matte Black: This color has been a popular color for a couple of years now. The matte black look gives a modern touch to the home giving it a new clean appearance. Also, it complements the neutral colors that are associated with the modern look people have been after.

Faucets/Sinks

Faucets and sinks have advanced in recent years with changing trends and technology.

-Pull Out Faucets: Many people have recently been getting a pullout faucet for their kitchen. It clears up space and adds versatility by concealing a retractable hose in the spout of the faucet. It can definitely make cleaning more convenient!

-High Spouts: These have been trending because they have proven to be helpful in situations like rinsing baking trays, filling a tall pot, etc. It helps to make it less difficult to fit things/clean or fill up larger objects in the sink.

-Smart Kitchen Faucets: Technology has advanced greatly over the years and continues with every trend. Smart faucet systems allow the device to be turned on contactless either by waving a hand near the faucet or even through voice commands. Settings can be controlled and personalized depending on preferences.
